AS A CERTIFIED FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALIST (CFPS)

Image Quincy, Massachusetts- Jeffrey D. Zwirn, CPP, CFPS, CFE, DABFET, CHS-III, SET, President of IDS Research and Development, Inc., joined the distinguished group of Fire Protection Professionals who have earned recognition as a Certified Fire Protection Specialist, (CFPS).

The Certified Fire Protection Specialist Board (CFPS) was formed in 1971 for the purpose of documenting competency and offering professional recognition for individuals involved in fire protection, fire safety, and fire prevention. In 1998, CFPS and NFPA partnered to jointly offer this highly regarded certification program.

The CFPS board is a non-profit, worldwide organization whose purpose is to recognize and document those professionals who, through education, experience and written exam, have demonstrated a high level of expertise and professionalism within any of the fire protection fields.

The CFPS Board credential has been awarded to more than 1,000 professionals and is internationally recognized as a mark of achievement within the fire protection field.

The mission of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), which was organized in 1896, is to reduce the burden of fire on the quality of life by advocating scientifically-based consensus codes and standards and research and education for fire and related safety issues.
